New York Investment Conference
Design a range of collateral for the event
Design a range of collateral for the event
Challenge
Develop and design a broad range of items that will act as key touchpoints throughout the 5 day event – creating items that are distinct and bespoke and that will wow attendees.
Solution
When it came to developing collateral for the annual New York Investment Conference, there were a few items that were a given, such as the Event Pack book (which outlined all key information attendees required). Beyond that I had carte blanche to create what I wanted, as long as it was interesting, engaging or useful.
Starting with the Event Pack I developed a general look and feel that I wanted for the year’s conference – bold copy and graphics that worked with striking New York imagery – which I could then roll out to other items.
These other items included notebooks, tote bags, an event zine, a postcard set, and 5 distinct menus.
EVENT ZINE
Intended to have a bit of New York irreverence, I researched, wrote and designed this zine for attendees.
Designed to be something of a tourist guide, the magazine highlighted things that could be helpful for their free time (best restaurants, shops, movie locations, etc), apps that could prove useful, key talking points for the time they were there (early Feb – so the Super Bowl and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week made this easy!) and a guide for Central Park (handily on the doorstep of the Mandarin Oriental, where guests were staying).
EVENT MENUS AND OTHER ITEMS
When dining at Michelin star restaurants, inspiration for interesting menu designs is easy to come by.
Whether guests are dining at a converted ex-print house downtown (convenient when wanting to sneak attendees’ names into a menu design), or with million dollar views of the New York skyline (coming to life with some laser cutting and tealights), I thought outside the box when it came to creating a range of different menus for the event.
